White Balancing

From MITVWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Some videocameras and even some photocameras have an automatic white balance built-in. To get the best results point the focal point towards something "white". The easiest way is to hold an evenly lit piece of paper and zoom in until the whole display is "white". Then hit the "auto white balance" function of your camera and it will automaticaly adjust the colors so the paper becomes white on the footage. Do this every time the lighting situation changes and the colortemperature of your footage will fit together when you edit it later on.

Have fun ;-)
